It’s Friiiiiiiiiday! It’s Friiiiiiday! It’s Friiiiiiiday!
I know they always do, but this week flew by like a G-6! It’s been a great, fun, busy, spiritual, bucket filling kind of week! The kind of week, I’d love to experience over and over again…if I wasn’t so darn tired!
(I’m Livingstonshfob on Instagram if you want to follow along)
We started the weekend off, with having the our last few days of fun with Lucy and Kaleb (my niece and nephew from Washington) before they had to leave. Our time with them has been amazing! I hope that we can do it again in a year or two. I hope that they remember this trip with me, with Jim and with their cousins for many years to come. I have such fond memories with some of my aunts and uncles. I didn’t see them often, but they always made sure to make our time count. It wasn’t always be elaborate trips but I remember that time and how precious it was with them, with my brother and with my cousin Tiffany.
Our last (full) day with them was the best! We knew we wanted to do something big, we knew we had to go out with a bang and we did! Knott’s Berry Farm was such a great choice. It’s closer and so much cheaper than Disneyland. The big kids were able to go on some big rides, while I took the littles on every ride, except one, in Camp Snoopy. The last time we went in January, Preston was only tall enough for one ride, it was so fun to take him on everything this time. Plus by the time we started hitting the rides, the lines were short! We busted through Camp Snoopy in about 2 hours! Jim and Lucy are the real daredevils in our family and had a blast riding the rides that I’ve done once…ONCE…it was enough for me.
The rest of the week has been filled with with VBS bliss! A full week of crazy on-our-feet dancing and singing, God praising, Jesus loving, FUN! I’m so glad that I volunteered to be a group leader this year. After being a part of our Awana club, I knew that I didn’t want to wait until September to make a difference again. So this week it’s VBS and in about a week and a half I’ll be heading up to the mountain to be a camp counselor at our children’s camp!
This week I’m tired, but not in a “I’m bored kind of way”, more like my bucket and heart are so over filled with love and joy that I need to sleep so they aren’t filled more….they may explode…kind of way. In a I need more morning cuddles and slow starting kind of days, way.
Hope your week is filled with love, joy, time to have fun and time to relax…oh and morning cuddles with a cutie, because we all need more morning cuddles.
